Mr. Frank Ruiz and Mr. Harry Rosenstein founded the Nisei Goju
Ryu Karate (second generation hard and soft) System in July of 1969.
Mr. Herbie Thompson was appointed head of Nisei Goju Ryu Southern
Region in 1978. Mr. Thompson has taken the Nisei Goju Ryu System
and combined a youth program, thereby, forming the Nisei Youth PAC
(People Against Crime) Program, a 501c3 non profit dedicated to
saving children.

Nisei Youth P.A.C. Program
The Nisei Youth P.A.C. (People Against Crime) Program established
in 1969 has evolved from a single purpose organization to a multi-purpose
provider. This organization’s is to develop a comprehensive
approach of effective prevention and intervention technologies for
at-risk children (ages 3 to 18) and their families and to offer alternative
service resources to youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

| Goals |
To have our own self-sufficient facility that is educational as well as recreational (with a computer room, game room, library/study room, and a room for art and sewing).
To have our own Mini Bus to pick kids up for our After School Program and for Field Trips.
This will effectively help us to assist our youth in:
· Increasing grade point averages
· Increasing school attendance
· Reducing school suspensions
· Providing effective prevention programming to reduce delinquency recidivism rates
